Arabesque Exhibition

Developing the advertising series for the Clark's "Arabesque" exhibition was an intricate process aimed at encapsulating the diverse history of the arabesque motif. Rooted in both Islamic art and European movements, the design aimed to mirror the motif's essence, signifying infinite freedom and open-ended, self-engendering forms. Across print and digital platforms, we carefully curated visuals that traced the arabesque's evolution from a decorative border to a pivotal driver of pictorial innovation. The interplay between Islamic and European influences was seamlessly woven into the series, adhering to the Clark's brand guidelines for easy recognition. The visuals serve as a visual narrative, inviting patrons to explore the historical debates surrounding ornamentation and meaning in art within the context of the arabesque motif.
