Alumni Award Exhibition

Designing the graphics and environment for Dartmouth's Alumni Award Exhibition in Blunt Hall was a meticulous and comprehensive process, involving multiple stages from concept to completion. Using Dartmouth’s brand in a creative application, MILKCRATE began by mocking up various options, experimenting with graphics, materials, and lighting to create a visually engaging and inclusive atmosphere. An integral part of the project was updating a historic woodcut from Dartmouth's collection, ensuring that it reflected a more inclusive representation of the modern alumni community. The challenge lay not only in preserving the historical essence but also in making it resonate with contemporary inclusivity values. Additionally, MILKCRATE undertook the design of signage, carefully selecting materials and preparing files for engraving to ensure a polished look and enduring finish. This collaborative effort resulted in an Alumni Award Exhibition that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity, creating a welcoming and celebratory environment in the historic Blunt Hall space.
